My Memory Becoming Yours

I remember holding you...
The Love, Pride just shining through.
These feelings that were all new...
Now you have a chance to feel them too!

Holding your child for the very first time
To feel her all brand new...
Knowing what you had to do...
Wondering... where you would find the time!

As a parent...feeling the joy in your heart,
Knowing you would love her
Right from the start!

When she was born...
You called her CADENCE
Look at her now...
She shines with radiance!

When she tells me "I Love You" on the phone
I don't feel so far from home!
To think she will now turn two,
I am so very proud of you!

So my Dear, this journey has now begun
You know, She WILL keep you on the run!
Sit back...Relax...Enjoy the fun!!!

Onward Tranquility

Watching the sun rise
A beautiful scene
Orange with yellow hues
Umbrella the sky

Tis so calm... so peaceful
Letting me empty my sorrows
Instilling fresh energy within me
To take on, yet, another day

The ocean waves are rolling
Taking my fears out to sea
Starting to come to grips now
Letting my thoughts go free

When the outside world
Seems difficult to take
The stress in my life overwhelming
Here I come to rest

To take some quiet time
Reminisce where I've been...
Ponder forward, my destination...
Time to focus on to my purpose
